I loved working with Step Forth (4th year of Lab) as a coordinator this year. I mean I got a group of teenagers to lug around a 8 ft cross all week to remind them to 'deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' Luke 9:23. We had a great group were just on fire and there for each other whether it was sitting with each other in the quiet of the prayer vigil or welcoming all of Lab into Centennial Hall with a tunnel.
And I cannot forget about our own kids from Living Lord. I miss them alot during the week as most of the time they are off doing stuff with their respective
The them for Leadership Lab 2015 was 'Body Building' and I can tell you it was a week full of working out for me: spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I left on last Saturday feeling on top of the world spiritually but about as physically tired as I have ever been.
Social media from Labbers and staff has been a buzz with post after post talking about the impact the week had on them. I am still working to get my head around everything from the week. Personally, the mantra of "I am... Your are... We are the Body of Christ." has been resounding in my heart and head. How do I live this out personally and as a member of the greater community? How do I make sure everyone knows we are one Body? How am I 'working out' this amazing gift of salvation each an every day?
Lab levels. But when I did have an opportunity to see them I was blown away. Each Celebration they were singing and dancing and focused on the message being shared. With smiles from ear to ear they would embrace each other in hugs. On Wednesday night, we gathered and shared openly about our struggles, joys and God sightings. They were open and vulnerable, supportive and joyful. Amazing stuff. Below is a one of my favorite pictures from Lab. A group of our ladies embracing during a song with even the end ones stretching out to hold hands. God is good.
WE are Living Stories of God's Love in Action!
